Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is stylishly decorated and has lots of little touches throughout to make our dog feel welcome. However, some areas are tired and could do with modernization, like the bathroom being carpeted, resulting in dampness due to a leaking toilet. The outbuilding where the room was located had a musty smell.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, although they had a bit of a dated feel that suited the age of the hotel. The service from the staff, particularly Chris, Samantha, and Olivia, was top-notch, they were pleasant, professional, and accommodating throughout my stay. The location offered quiet surroundings with wonderful countryside and valley views, perfect for exploring Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast. Overall, a relaxing stay with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel offers large rooms with lovely jacuzzi baths, all in working order, and boasting the most wonderful view over the Axe valley. It was truly a lovely experience. The service was efficient and friendly, especially Chris, who went above and beyond to accommodate us and our 2 dogs. The location, although a bit hard to reach through a narrow road, provided a peaceful and serene countryside setting with stunning views. The dining experience was satisfactory with well-cooked meals, although freshness could have been improved. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor drawbacks, but definitely worth the value.
